Grappa Nonino among “The great Italian brands” on Sette, the prestigious Magazine of the Corriere della Sera.
For some weeks Sette, the prestigious Magazine of the Corriere della Sera, has been reporting a journey in stages among the excellent companies in our country.
The wonderful reportage of August 17th, dedicated to Grappa and the Nonino family, tells how Giannola and Benito Nonino, the heirs of an ancient family of distillers changed the way of drinking, turning Grappa from Cinderella into a Queen of distillates. The article highlights the strict artisanal process for the production of Grappa Nonino and reports the most important stages of the company: from 1973 when the Noninos created Grappa Monovitigno® distilling the pomace of Picolit grapes separated from the others to the creation of ÙE®, Grape Aquavitae, for which they had to ask three ministries for the authorization because in Italy the distillation of Grapes was not allowed.
