Professor Peter Higgs, Nonino Prize Laureate 2013, has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics 2013. Once more, and for the third straight year, the Nonino Prize has anticipated the Nobel, as it already happened last year for the writer Mo Yan and in 2011 for the poet Tomas Tranströmer.
The Jury of the Nonino Prize, presided by the Nobel Laureate Vidia Naipaul and composed by Adonis, John Banville, Ulderico Bernardi, Peter Brook, Luca Cendali, Antonio Damasio, Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie, James Lovelock, Claudio Magris, Norman Manea, Morando Morandini, Edgar Morin and Ermanno Olmi, with the Nonino family, deeply moved make a toast in honour of Peter Higgs, Nonino Prize Laureate 2013 and Nobel Laureate in Physics 2013.
