Touching, last December 15th, the great success of the “Chorus Manos Blancas of Friuli” at the prestigious concert at the Senate, in the presence of the President of the Republic, where it performed together with the children’s choir of Reggio Emilia and the youth orchestra directed by Maestro Nicola Piovani.

The children of the “Chorus Manos Blancas of Friuli” at the end of their exhibition were personally congratulated by the President of the Republic, Mr. Giorgio Napolitano, and by the President of the Senate, Mr. Piero Grasso, with a warm handshake.

The “Chorus Manos Blancas of Friuli”, today still the only one in Italy is composed by children with different disabilities and was established in 2010 by the Nonino Family, following an idea of Claudio Abbado, with the collaboration of the workers of the rehabilitation center “La Nostra Famiglia” of S. Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone). Since 2012 it has joined the Team of the Committee “System of Youth and Children Orchestras and Choruses” of Italy, a nonprofit organization lead by Federculture and presided by Roberto Grossi
